What is Workflow?
The sequence of stages a piece of work moves through, from creation to completion.
A workflow is the path work takes through your team's process. The simplest is To Do → In Progress → Done. More involved: Backlog → Refined → In Progress → Code Review → QA → Deployed. Workflows are encoded as the column structure on a Kanban board or as the custom statuses on a project. Different teams within the same company often need different workflows; modern tools let you customise per project.
When to use
Add a workflow stage only when it represents real work. A 'Code Review' column is meaningful; a 'Pending' column is not (everything starts as pending).
