Why Kovarro
There are dozens of work platforms. Here's why we built another one.
The honest version. The bets we made, the constraints we kept, and the kind of team we're building this for.
Most teams don't have a project-management problem. They have a tool-sprawl problem. A 15-person team pays for ClickUp, HubSpot, Slack, Hubstaff, Notion, and Calendly - each charging $10-25 per seat, each rotating through admin work, each breaking when a partner ships a new auth flow.
Kovarro is the bet that the integration tax is now bigger than any per-feature win you get from buying the best individual tool. One workspace. One subscription. One identity. The trade-off is that any single Kovarro module is rarely the absolute best in its category - it doesn't need to be.
Here are the convictions that show up in every product decision we make.
The five beliefs
What we kept fixed
Belief 1
Bundles beat best-of-breed for small teams
A 15-person agency doesn't need the world's best Kanban tool. It needs Kanban, a CRM, chat, and tracking working together. The integration tax is now bigger than any single-feature gap.
Belief 2
AI should propose, never decide
Cado is read-only by design. It reads your data, drafts your next sprint, suggests reassignments. A human approves before anything ships. We picked this constraint early and we'll keep it.
Belief 3
Time tracking shouldn't feel like surveillance
No screenshots. No keystroke logging. No mouse jiggler detection. The desktop agent captures time + active app + idle state. Anything more breaks trust without improving accuracy.
Belief 4
White-label is a real product, not a checkbox
Agencies and consultancies should be able to sell the platform as theirs. We invested in branding controls, custom domains, and a branded desktop agent because we want them to win, not just license a button.
Belief 5
Service businesses are the customer
Kovarro is built for agencies, consultancies, startups, software teams - service businesses where the work is people, projects, and a sales pipeline. Not for warehouses or factories.
Who Kovarro is not for
If you're a single-tool power user who's standardised on Linear or HubSpot and your stack is humming - stay. Kovarro isn't going to be 10% better at any one thing. It's better at being one thing.
If you need a warehouse-management system, an ERP, a help-desk, or a whiteboard tool, we're not the right pick - and we're not going to be. Scope is the product.
