Glossary
What is CRM (Customer Relationship Management)?
A system of record for sales pipeline, leads, contacts, deals, and customer interaction history.
A CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system stores every interaction with prospects and customers - leads, contacts, deals, emails sent, calls logged, notes, files. Core CRM features: a pipeline view (deals by stage), custom fields per record, activity timeline, reporting on conversion. Modern work platforms increasingly include a CRM module so sales and delivery share one workspace.
When to use
Up to about 100 customers, a CRM inside your work platform is enough. Beyond that, dedicated CRMs (HubSpot, Salesforce) have more advanced automation worth the separation.
