For Software teams

Kovarro for Software Teams

Sprint planning, velocity, and burndown - without Jira's complexity or Linear's price.

Software teams pick from a triangle: Jira (powerful, slow), Linear (fast, opinionated), or whatever the company already has. Kovarro is for teams who want Linear's clarity with broader scope - sprints AND chat AND a CRM AND a time tracker.

The sprint planner uses LexoRank ordering for fast drags, burndown charts ship on every sprint, and Cado AI proposes the next sprint based on real velocity data. No story points unless you want them.

Today's reality

What Software teams usually feel

Pain 1

Jira is too heavy for what we actually do

Twenty fields per ticket, six layers of permissions, and the UI hasn't shipped a clear win in years.

Pain 2

Linear is great but it's just project management

We still need a CRM for customer signal and a chat tool for the team. Three tools again.

Pain 3

AI features are bolted on, not designed in

Most AI sprint planners are 'generate a generic plan'. We want something that reads OUR velocity, OUR workload, OUR blockers.

Pain 4

Time tracking is a separate vendor problem

Harvest, Toggl, Hubstaff - each is an extra integration that breaks at the worst time.

How Kovarro answers

Built for the way you actually work

Sprints that respect engineering reality

Velocity, burndown, drag-to-sprint planning, custom statuses per project, parent / child tasks, blocks / blocked-by.

Cado AI: a sprint planner that reads YOUR data

Pulls your last N sprints' velocity, current workload, and open blockers. Drafts the next sprint. You approve, you tweak.

Built-in chat, channels, threads

#eng-frontend, #eng-backend, #incidents - all next to the board. No Slack tab to alt-tab to.

Time tracking that captures real work

Desktop agent logs against the task you're on. Estimate-vs-actual on every story. No screenshots.

A week in the life

What it actually looks like

A representative week using Kovarro for this kind of team.

  1. 1

    Monday standup

Walk the board. Cado has surfaced two cards that haven't moved in 5 days. Discuss + reassign.

  2. 2

    Wednesday: customer reports a bug

Lands in #support chat. Convert message to task in one click. Auto-linked to the conversation thread.

  3. 3

    Thursday sprint review

Open burndown chart. Compare planned vs delivered. Cado has drafted next sprint - approve, tweak, accept.

  4. 4

    Friday timesheets

Desktop agent has tracked the whole week against tasks. No retroactive logging. Estimate vs actual auto-rolls up.

  5. 5

    Quarterly retro

Velocity trend chart shows three-quarter improvement. Story-point overestimation visible in the same view.

FAQ

Common questions

Do you support story points?

Yes - as an optional task field. We default to time estimates because most teams under 30 engineers find them easier to calibrate.

Can Cado pick assignees automatically?

Cado proposes assignees based on workload and recent activity. It never writes - the human approves every assignment before it lands on the sprint.

Does Kovarro integrate with GitHub / GitLab?

Outbound webhooks let you wire CI events into chat or task updates. Two-way sync (PR auto-close ticket) is on the roadmap - see /roadmap.

How does this compare to Linear?

Linear is best-in-class at the pure-PM surface. Kovarro trades a tiny bit of that polish for built-in chat, CRM, time tracking, and white-label - and prices the bundle at one Linear seat. See the full comparison on /compare/clickup (closest analog) or contact sales for a Linear-specific deck.
